Prison guard charged with grand larceny, insurance fraud
A guard at a western New York prison is accused of bilking the state insurance fund.
State police say 33-year-old James Gibbs of Batavia has been charged with grand larceny and insurance fraud.
Gibbs, who works at Attica State Prison, is accused of earning money by plowing driveways and sealing parking lots while also collecting full disability compensation from an on-duty injury.
