Police: Webster men nabbed harvesting drugs in Irondequoit

An Irondequoit resident helped police officers uncover a big drug operation in the town.

Two Webster men are now under arrest, Donald Crandell and Thomas Conolly are facing numerous felony drug charges.

A resident called police after noticing the men walking through a back yard on Thomas ConollyShadowlawn Court carrying bags. Turns out the bags were full of freshly cut marijuana plants and there were more bags in their truck.

When police searched Crandell's home in Webster, they found marijuana buds in the freezer worth $50,000 and also 60 grams of heroin. There was also thousands of dollars worth of equipment to grow marijuana in the basement.

The men were found in a neighborhood that's within walking distance of police headquarters in Irondequoit.
