Successful candidate must be a good writer who understands storytelling, teamwork, live television. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of reporting and photojournalism experience at a commercial television station. Journalism and/or Mass Communication degree preferred. Applicants should have good news judgment, strong writing skills, strong photography skills and non-linear editing experience. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving history as determined by the Company. Driving record will be checked.
Candidates will be required to develop and cover enterprise story ideas, handle assignments from the Assignment Desk, interview story subjects, develop story contacts, and write, shoot and edit their stories on-air, and write and post stories on-online. Some live work with another photographer will be required.
Must be able to perform the functions of the job. The company will make reasonable physical accommodations to facilitate the ability to perform essential job functions. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds required.
