More people die of lung cancer than breast, colon, pancreatic and prostate cancer combined. Medical experts are making new recommendations for smokers.

If you are a smoker, age 55 to 74-years-old, you may need to get a scan.

A group of top government advisers is endorsing lung cancer screenings, but not for everyone. It's proposing annual CT scans for certain current and former smokers.
