Photo: Philly.comConsider it the celebrity markup. We all know that homes used in filming, let alone actually occupied by celebrities, tend to sell for an inflated price because of their brush with fame. Such is the case with this impressive 7,000 square foot home for sale in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia. With six bedrooms and 3.5 acres of sprawling grounds, the home has ample room for entertaining, and a note of history.

It was used to film a brief scene in Stealing Home, a film starring Jodie Foster and Mark Harmon, and in fact, the house itself wasn't involved in the filming at all: it was the pool that was used for the scene. The new owners have since renovated the house and the pool, relying on Philadelphia contractors used to the sensitive handling that historic and remarkable homes need. The result of their painstaking remodel is a stunning home which retains many original architectural features and maintains a light, open feel, but you'll have to open your wallet wide for it.

The asking price to have a chance to swim in the pool Jodie Foster once dove in? $2.1 million.
