There is a family in Wayland reaching out for help for their 16-year-old daughter who suffers from a rare lymphatic malformation on the right side of her face.

Alexis Garrison gets dangerous infections and has lost 90 percent of her vision in her right eye.

The Garrisons found a doctor in New York City who they say can help Lexi. In August, she had an operation and another is scheduled for the week before Thanksgiving. The family says the procedure won't be covered by insurance completely and there is the cost of transportation and staying in New York City.
