Governor Andrew Cuomo says the state’s finances could be in the black next year and a surplus in the budget would go to cutting your property taxes.
Governor Cuomo predicts a surplus next year if the state can "hold the line on spending". The governor added the state would have funds for those tax cuts.
The governor may try to link property taxes to incomes and not to what your home is worth.
We are expecting a tax commission report in early December outlining ways the state can cut taxes.
