Do The Right Thing Award Winners: March-April 2014

Eight students from throughout the City of Rochester and Monroe County have been named the March and April winners in the “Do The Right Thing” Award Program.
Awards were presented to:
Kobe McCray, a 5th grader at Neil Armstrong Elementary School, who found a wallet containing cash on the bus and returned the wallet which belonged to a classmate.
Spencer Burns, an 8th grader at John Walton School #16 , who assists in tutoring younger students at an afterschool program and also assisted in delivering 886 pounds of food to needy families over the holidays.
Rayne Webb, a Senior, and Assia Bukuru, a 10th grader, at Rochester Early College High School who organized a school dance that collected food donations for a local food pantry.
Bryan Cicilia, a Senior All City High School at the Marshall Campus, who went to the aid of a distraught friend, without hesitation, rending assistance.
Calvin Moyer, a 6th grader at Oliver Middle School , who took “Random Act of Kindness Day” at his school to a whole new level and assisted many whom he came in contact with.
Diamante Swift, a Senior at STEM High School, who coached and mentored a developmentally challenged peer for the school’s talent show.
Muhaimin Muhammad and Samad Muhammad, both 7th graders at Mary McLeod Bethune School #45, who returned some lost items to their neighbor.
