Long Acre Farms and JD Wine Cellars will host a dog-friendly Corn Maze Wine Walk from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8.
The event will be held in celebration of seventh birthday of the companies’ family’s dog, Zoe.
At the event, participants will get a first look at the farm’s 2014 Amazing Maize Maze, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” with stations inside the maze where guests can sample JD wines.
The wine walk is for attendees 21 and older, and dogs must be leashed.
Tickets are $15, and can be purchased at the tasting room prior to entering the maze, and the last entrance into the maze will be at 7:30. Each participant will also receive a voucher for a free glass of wine at the tasting room at the end of the maze walk.
Long Acre Farms will also open its grill during event event, with hamburgers, sausage, hot dogs and sides available from 5 to 8 p.m. The ice cream shop and farm market will be open until 9 p.m.
The full Back 40 area will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets will be discounted to $2 per person, and admission includes access to the fitness jumping pillow, rainforest mini-maze, hoop shoot, giant slide, spider web and more.
Live music will be performed by Lee Kaminske from 6 to 8:30 p.m, and JD Wine Cellars will be open with extended hours until 9 p.m. with tastings of its wines and Fairport Brewing Company’s beers available for $3 per person.
