Sheriff's deputies say a one-car crash in Galen sent two Wayne County residents to the hospital early Sunday morning.

Deputies say Robert Crocker, 22, of Savannah was driving southbound on Tyre Road with his wife Cierra Crocker, 22, when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the side of the road, hitting a tree.

Deputies say the crash left Robert trapped inside the vehicle. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Lifenet after he was removed from the car. According to investigators, Cierra was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

We're told the investigation into the crash is ongoing. Deputies say they believe speed and alcohol were involved.
