The chicken wing capitol of the world is reporting a shortage of wings. The low supply is forcing some restaurants in Buffalo to raise the price of wings and some restaurant owners have had enough.
Sam Musolino, who owns a pizza shop in Niagara Falls, is calling on other shop owners to start boycotting wings starting Monday. Musolino said he's paying around $85 for 40 pounds of wings and that's double what he usually pays
The reduced number of wings can be blamed on a variety of reasons. A poultry farm in Texas recently filed for bankruptcy, which has cut down the supply. Add that to the national growing demand for Buffalo wings, and that means higher prices for everybody.
