The Orleans County sheriff's office says Kristin M. Adduci misjudged her distance from the ground during a jump around 10 p.m. Saturday at the Pine Hill Airport in the town of Barre. It's about 30 miles west of Rochester. Undersheriff Steven D. Smith says Adduci didn't properly execute a technique for slowing her descent, so she hit the ground faster than planned. The 33-year-old Buffalo resident was jumping with a group from the Rochester Skydiving Center. A center manager didn't immediately return a telephone call Sunday. No telephone number could be found for Adduci. For more Rochester, N.Y. news go to our website www.whec.com. |
