Cats die in early morning fire, woman in hospital (watch raw video)
Fire tore through a house on Stonecrest Drive, which is north of West Ridge Road near the Stoneridge Plaza. Firefighters arrived at the scene a little before 3:00 Wednesday morning.
Heavy smoke was coming from the basement then fire quickly spread to the first and second floors. Officials said the one person inside the house was already out when they got there. She was taken to the hospital, and she is expected to be ok.
There is a lot of fire damage in the living room and parts of the second floor, but the fire is completely out at this point. Firefighters still can't say what started this fire.
There were three cats inside the house. Firefighters weren’t able to locate them and they all died.
