News 10NBC has learned that former Greece Police Sgt. Brian Ball is accused of covering up a fatal DWI in the town of Greece back in 2005. It involved the death of then 18-year-old Stephanie Oliva. The driver of the car was her boyfriend Chad Kenyon. At the time, Greece Police said Kenyon pulled out in front of another car. He was injured but never charged. Watch our original story on the fatal crash here Oliva was a recent graduate from Greece Arcadia High School. She was studying cosmetology at the time of the accident. Watch the YouTube tribute to Stephanie Oliva here Ball turned himself into police this morning. Ball was arraigned in front of Judge Affronti. He plead not guilty. He is the 5th Greece Police officer charged with a crime. While the alleged crime is different, the charge (read indictment) against former Sgt. Ball is the same one facing suspended Greece Police Chief Merritt Rahn. Watch raw interview with District Attorney Mike Green Ball was suspended from Greece police at the same time as Chief Merritt Rahn and Deputy Chief Bill Mackin. They were suspended the day after they were caught shredding documents at the Greece police station. On Wednesday, Chief Rahn was arrested and arraigned on one felony count. He is accused of submitting a memo attached to the background check of former Greece cop Gary Pignato when Rahn knew some of the statements and information in the memo were false.
