Basement fire at Wayne Middle School
A dryer caught fire in the basement of Wayne Middle School around 2 p.m. Fire officials say members of the maintenance staff had been using the dryer when the smoke alarms went off. They say the dryer was located in a small maintenance room in the basement and that damage to the school is minimal. No one was injured.
