U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is reporting $10.5 million in her campaign account as she runs for re-election.

The Gillibrand campaign reported that it raised just over $2 million for the three-month period that ended June 30 in federal disclosure forms. The Democrat is being challenged by Republican Wendy Long, whose filings aren't available.

The quarterly filings come a month after pre-primary filings that showed Gillibrand with a huge cash advantage over Long, who last month reported nearly $112,400 in her account.

Long is a New York City lawyer who has advocated for conservative judges. She won a three-way Republican primary last month.

Gillibrand is running her second Senate campaign since she was appointed in 2009 to replace Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
