Landscape expert Terry Schmitz of Broccolo Tree & Lawn Care joined Lia Lando on ROC City Monday night to give homeowners tips to take care of their yards during this stretch of hot and dry weather.

Schmitz recommends you take a break from lawn mowing saying it’s not necessary until the grass is three inches or higher.

When is the best time to water the grass? He said, “We don’t recommend watering at night because the grass can get moldy or spores can form because of the humidity late at night.” The best time is early in the morning.
