A follow-up in the case of a man accused of beating his girlfriend to death in a dorm at the College at Brockport.

Police say Clayton Whittemore killed his former girlfriend Alexandra Kogut inside her dorm room last September.

The judge pushed Whittemore's trial date because the prosecution says it needs more time to evaluate Whittemore's mental state. The results of the evaluation could change the charges against him.

The trial has been pushed until January.
