State police say 14 vehicles were damaged and one person suffered facial cuts from broken glass after rocks hit their vehicles as they drove on a highway in Buffalo.
State and local police were alerted by calls Sunday night from drivers on Interstate-190 reporting their vehicles had been damaged by falling rocks.  A U.S. Border Patrol vehicle was among those damaged.
Authorities suspect several people were responsible for throwing dozens of rocks ranging in size from one to 12 inches in diameter onto the New York State Thruway. The rocks were found all over the roadway near mile marker 8.2.
So far, no arrests have been made.
State Police are asking anyone with information to call its Criminal Investigation office at: 716-935-6528.
