The Monroe County District Attorney's Office says a jury convicted Samuel Mitchell of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Stephen Cobb last year.
Prosecutors say Mitchell approached Cobb as he was waiting in line at a convenience store on Main Street in June 2012 and fired one shot. When Cobb realized what was going on, prosecutors say he ran into the store and Mitchell followed him, firing several more shots.
Prosecutors say one of those shots hit Cobb in the chest. He was later found dead in the store's parking lot.
Mitchell faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison. Sentencing is set for December 5.
