School of Arts choir named finalists in NY Lottery contest

A local choir is a finalist in the New York Lottery's New York Sings contest.

The School of Arts was named a finalist on Thursday, according to a release. The choir has a chance to take home as much as $10,000 if they win the contest.

The contest asked students to submit a film singing their own interpretation of "Thank You For Being A Friend," the theme song of television series The Golden Girls.
