 A Louisiana man is lucky to be alive after a stray bullet hit him in the chest. Lucky for him his cell phone was in his pocket covering his heart, which is believed to have saved his life.
RJ Richard was simply mowing the lawn last Saturday when he felt something slam into his chest. It was a large caliber bullet. Richard's cell phone was covering his heart and that absorbed the impact and may have saved his life.
At first Richard said he thought something popped up from the lawnmower, but it wasn't until his wife drove up that he realized what happened.
Medics said if the cell phone wasn't there the bullet would've have hit him straight in the heart and probably would have killed him.
The accident has been a wake up call for Richard. He said he has new found faith and isn't taking anything for granted, including his family.
