nullThe national ban on synthetic marijuana, pushed for by Senator Chuck Schumer after an I-Team 10 investigation, was signed into law Monday by President Obama.

Senator Schumer called it the "final nail in the coffin" for legal synthetic drugs, and says this will close loopholes that allow manufacturers to get around state laws.

The federal ban includes 31 different chemical combinations. 20 of them fall under the category of synthetic marijuana.

I-Team 10 uncovered information about the sale of synthetic marijuana products like K-2 back in February.

Monday's ban was passed as part of a larger FDA bill.
