I-Team 10 update: Demolition workers indicted

I-Team 10 updateA Monroe County grand jury has indicted three demolition workers allegedly caught disposing of hazardous waste at the High Acres Landfill in Perinton.

Herbert Babcock, Ronald Caceci and Michael Cenzi are chrged with felony endangering public health, safety or environment.

They're accused of hauling asbestos and other materials to the landfill from demolitions of city properties.

The men were arrested last spring amid a major investigation of their employer, Sinisgalli, Incorporated.

In March, local, state and federal agents descended on the Pittsford home of Louis Sinisgalli with search warrants. They removed boxes of business records and demolition contracts. They also seized $827,375 in cash from a safe and a box found in a bedroom closet.

A former city building inspector, William Redden has pleaded guilty to helping rig bids on city demolitions and taking kick backs from Sinisgalli.

The city has said it anticipates further arrests.

Sinisgalli has not been charged with any crimes related to the probe.
