Arcadia man faces child pornography, unlawful surveillance charges

A Wayne County man is facing child pornography charges after an investigation was initiated by Child Protective Services.

Deputies say 44-year-old Ryan Russell of Arcadia had nude photos of a child on his cell phone. The photos were taken without the child’s knowledge at their home, according to deputies.

Russell was first arrested in March for endangering the welfare of a child. On May 17 he was arrested and charged with promoting sexual performance by a child, possessing a sexual performance by a child, and two counts of unlawful surveillance in the second degree.  He was remanded to the Wayne County Jail without bail. 

A stay away order of protection was issued for the underage child.
