A strong arctic front will move through Rochester Thursday evening and bring some rain and snow, strong winds, bitter cold and lake flakes for Friday.
After a pleasant afternoon the front will arrive around 6 or 7 Thursday night. Rain at first will change to a little wet snow as temperatures plunge by midnight into the 20s. The rain and snow combined will falling temperatures may lead to some icy roads.
Lake effect snow showers develop overnight into Friday morning and will bring some areas an inch or two of snow. Temperatures will be near record cold Friday afternoon into Saturday morning.
