The Churchville-Chili soccer team is showing support for a teen who just learned he has leukemia.

Members of the soccer team dyed their hair and had it cut to support one of their own. They say 16-year-old Alex Voglewede was recently diagnosed with the illness. With the season coming up, they wanted to let him know they stand behind him.

"Just so he knows we're a family and we're here to support him along the way and just make it easier on him really," says Patrick Sheridan, Alex's teammate.

All of us here at News10NBC want to send along our well wishes to Alex.
