Constellation Brands closes tasting rooms near California wildfires

As the wildfires rage on, a local company that owns a number of California wineries is feeling the heat.

In all, 180 square miles have burned in just the last 36 hours. So far, 15 people have been killed and dozens have been reported missing.

Victor-based Constellation Brands owns several wineries in Napa and Sonoma counties. According to CNBC, Constellation closed all of its tasting rooms in those regions.

The company earns 42 percent of its revenue from wine and spirits, CNBC reports. As of the end of August, Constellation Brands' wine and spirits sales have reached $705 million.

Constellation owns 18 wineries total that mostly get their grapes from areas affected by the wildfires.
