Our latest Do the Right Thing award winner is a tenth grader from Edison Tech.

Deontae Edwards was nominated by his English teacher. He was on his way to class when he saw a student down on the floor. Turns out the student was feeling ill and left class to go to the nurse's office.

Deontae didn't know the student but he picked them up and carried them to the nurse's office. He even stayed until he knew the student was ok.

"It was the right thing to do," he says. "You see someone fall and collapse and hit their head, you have to make sure they are ok."

Deontae was nominated for his heroism and compassion. Clearly, both are true qualities of the tenth grader.
