Two women are now facing charges after deputies say they left their kids alone in the Lego Store at Eastview Mall.

This is the second time in the past month that this has happened, according to deputies.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office tells us the two moms -- 54-year-old Yaquelina Francisca Rosario De Hernandez of the Dominican Republic, and 48-year-old Francisca Lopez of West Henrietta -- are sisters and were shopping at Eastview when they left their seven and nine-year old kids at the Lego Store for around two hours. Deputies say mall security tried to notify the parents over the loud speaker but got no response.

When the parents returned to pick up their children, deputies say they were given appearance tickets. They are expected to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date on charges for endangering the welfare of a child.

A representative from the Lego Store had this to say:

"I can confirm that our store manager followed our company policy and contacted mall security regarding the unattended children. As a trusted toy brand, our primary concern is for children's safety and as such we have a policy regarding unaccompanied minors in all of our stores. As this customer was under the age of 12 and unaccompanied, our store staff followed our guidelines and alerted mall security."

We recently did a Good Questions asking deputies how long is too long to leave your child alone in the store. To see it click here.
