Do the Right Thing: Dylonne and Rayshawn find ring, return it to owner

Two fourth graders from Nathaniel Hawthorne Middle School are being recognized for "doing the right thing."

Dylonne McClary and Rayshawn Hamilton were nominated for their honesty and fulfilling a civic responsibility.

The boys found what appeared to be an expensive ring in the boy’s bathroom and they returned the ring to its rightful owner. "For turning in a ring because someone threw it in the bathroom because they tried to steal it and we found it and told the teacher because it wasn't ours and we gave it to the teacher."

Dylonne is a safety patrol officer and was in the production of Peter Pan at school.

Rayshawn is a member of the Buds of Promise at Memorial AME Zion Church.
