East High students' project blasts off into space next week

An East High experiment heads into space on Monday.

Students in the Spaceflight Experiments Program worked on the project. Their experiment will test how quickly chlorophyll, the pigment that makes plants green, will degrade due to microgravity conditions.

The experiment will be on the Space X CRS 12 rocket on Monday bound for the International Space Station.
