In a Father's Day Pledge at City Hall on Saturday, Rochester dads vowed to help end violence.

The annual resolve was led by City Councilmember Adam McFadden, and calls on those who make the pledge to "never commit, condone or remain silent on domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and violence in our homes and communities."

The commitment, McFadden explained, is to a life that abstains from violence in the city, in homes, and violence everywhere else.

After the pledge, Mayor Lovely Warren also declared June 17 a day to honor the life of Andrew Langston, the founder of radio station WDKX.
