We've officially seen it all.
Normally, in a Town of Greece parking lot near Cranberry Pond, you see parked vehicles. But the water level is so high it is now home to a school of fish.
Pam Kaminski and Linda Urban showed us their video of more than a dozen carp swimming in the parking lot.
We showed Pam and Linda the news from the board that controls the lake level. The board says it's finally going to let more water out.
Brean: "At which time the water level will peak and gradually begin to decline."
Linda: "That's a good thing. That would be great."
Pam: "Because we've seen it rise every single day."
The statement from the Saint Lawrence-Lake Ontario Board says: "If the drier conditions of the past week continue, outflow is expected to surpass inflow, at which time Lake Ontario's water level will peak and begin to gradually decline."
That's what Tim Crumlish read when I showed him the news release. He's lives on the lakeshore for more than 25 years. He's guarded about this news. "There's not a whole lot they can do right now other than do what they're doing. Does it make me feel good? I mean it's still rising. It was up again today."
…So lower water is going to help him as the homeowners.
Brean: "So what I think this tells us is that relief is finally going to come here."
Pam: "That would be great especially for our neighbors. We've so far been very lucky but for them it hasn't been so good."
Linda: "That would be great."
