High fructose corn syrup is scientifically proven to lead to diabetes, obesity, and different metabolic diseases. We really need to look out for it. The problem is, it's everywhere.
It's in your syrup, ketchup, dressings, and BBQ sauce. It’s also in a lot of cereals on the market. Fast food places use it as an additive to bring you back for more. The reason that high fructose corn syrup is so dangerous is because when you eat table sugar or cane sugar, it has to metabolize in a different way and separate into different pieces because of the bio-chemistry. With high fructose corn syrup, it's going right into your system, raising your insulin and causing a whole host of issues.
You definitely want to check the ingredients on the foods you are purchasing.
