If you live near the former Geneva Foundry site, the cleanup around your home could last well into the fall.
City and state leaders say the soil around the area is contaminated.
According to the Finger Lakes Times, city manager Matt Horn says they likely won't finish soil excavation until late October. It will take another month to finish paving driveways and streets.
The state's superfund program is helping to pay for the cleanup.
