Governor Andrew Cuomo signed five pieces of legislation on Saturday as park of a Veterans Day package to support New York's own veterans.
Among the legislation included in the package was one that added PTSD as a condition that qualifies someone for the state's medical marijuana program. The package also included providing additional days of paid leave to veterans employed by the state, and waiving civil service exam fees for veterans.
The Governor also signed legislation to main a public list of all not-for-profits that solicit funds for the armed service, and to have a chair and plaque added to the State Capitol building in memory of soldiers who were Prisoners of War or Missing in Action.
