"Hamilton" workshop held for students

Students got a lesson on Broadway on Saturday from the Rochester City Ballet.

The workshop showed the kids the storytelling and movement styles of the Broadway hit "Hamilton".

Instructors saw the show can help students create believable and engaging characters. 

"It's a cultural phenomenon," says Theatre Coach Cara De'Emanuele, "I think that it has helped kids and parents and adults in the whole world actually become interested in the art form of musical theater." 

Another "Hamilton" song and dance workshop will take place on Sunday, April 9 at the Rochester City Ballet.
