Harris already employs about 3,500 people in the western New York area.

They're using billboards in Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse to recruit more people.

The Vice President of Human Resources, Adam Histed explained, "I think it's pretty unique in that we've all seen over the last several years a lot of technology jobs leaving western New York and the bright spot for Harris and the Rochester community is that we're trying to bring some of those technology positions back to the community.

The open positions are for electrical engineering, software engineering, and systems engineering.

More information on job postings can be found on their website.
