Deputies say the Junius home that caught fire on Wednesday is a total loss.

Videos posted online show crews battling a fire on Birdsey Road just north of the Thruway. Deputies say the fire started around 2:40 p.m. at the cobblestone home of 75-year-olds Doris and Walter Wolf.

News10NBC is told the home was insured. Investigators are still working to determine was sparked the blaze.

During the large on Wednesday, firefighters provided oxygen to a cat that escaped the flames. A photo of that rescue was also posted online.
