Deputies: Lyons woman backed car into pedestrian, fled scene

A Lyons woman has been arrested after deputies say she backed into a pedestrian and then fled the scene of the accident.

On Monday around 9 p.m., according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, 20-year-old Amari Linzy-Richardson hit a 55-year-old woman while backing out of a driveway on Saurer Farms Drive in Victor.

Deputies say the woman struck was hospitalized with a broken shoulder and other minor injuries.

Linzy-Richardson and her vehicle were later located at Best Western, located on Route 96 in the Town of Victor, just before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Linzy-Richardson was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. She is being held in the Ontario County Jail awaiting arraignment and will appear in Victor Town Court at a later time to answer the charges.

Deputies say the investigation is ongoing.
