A man is facing charges in Wayne County after deputies say he hurt a child on two separate instances.
Twenty-three-year-old Brandon Morris, of Newark, is charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Deputies say the 11-month-old infant was injured while Morris -- the live-in boyfriend of the child's mother -- was babysitting the child.
According to investigators, the baby had back injuries that caused bleeding and left scars.
He was arraigned and sent to Wayne County Jail on bail.
