Man caught driving car with ax in roof avoids jail time

The Wyoming County man police arrested after his car was found without doors, windows, and had an ax in the roof has been sentenced.

Jared Price, 21, of Java, won't do any jail time after he admitted to breaking into a house, driving while under the influence of drugs, violating an order of protection, and then damaging an officer's vehicle all within a two to three week period back last summer.

He faced 4 to 14 years in prison, but was sentenced to 5 years of probation after pleading guilty.
