Deputies: Mt. Morris man arrested for trashing motel room

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office checked a Mount Morris resident into jail for an alleged rampage in a motel room.

According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Robby Hamilton, 29, was arrested for felony Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies were called to a local motel to investigate damages done to a rented room after it was found to be ‘in complete disarray.’

The dresser, television, and walls were damaged. Total damages were estimated to be in excess of $250.

While Deputy Gibbs continued his investigation, the suspect, Hamilton, was located and subsequently arrested.

Hamilton was transported to the Livingston County Jail.

Mount Morris Town Justice Robert Ossont arraigned Hamilton and ordered him held on $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.

He remains incarcerated at the Livingston County Jail.
