Nunda father admits to fracturing baby's skull

A Nunda father has admitted to brutally beating his two-month-old son.

Brock Hyde pleaded guilty to reckless assault of a child and assault in the second degree.

Hyde said he dropped and slammed the toddler sometime between late November and early December.

In addition to a fractured skull, the baby also had 11 broken ribs, a broken foot, and swelling in his brain.

Hyde is a parolee who has done prison time for burglary, robbery, and assault. 

He will serve at least five years in prison and faces a maximum of 14 years.
