A Rochester man was sentenced for the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
Charles Thomas, 30, was sentenced to 8 years in prison and 15 years of post-release supervision after being convicted by a jury of two counts of criminal sexual act in the third degree and one count of rape in the third degree.
In September of 2017, Rochester Police responded to a call at a home on Salisbury Street, which led to a three-hour standoff. Officers were able to apprehend and arrest Thomas for sexually engaging with the minor.
According to officers, Thomas was on parole for criminal possession of a weapon at the time of his arrest.
