New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has announced he will sue the federal government "on behalf of New Yorkers" if the Senate and House GOP health plan is passed and signed into law.
The announcement will be publicly announced at a healthcare rally on Monday in New York City that will also be attended by Governor Andrew Cuomo, New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio, and State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie.
The threat to pursue a lawsuit comes after the Attorney General's office identified multiple constitutional defects in the Republican healthcare bills, according to a press release.
