Spencerport grad plays with Green Day in Albany
A Spencerport High School graduate got the chance of a lifetime while at a Green Day concert this weekend in Albany.
Melia Maccarone was called up on stage by lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong at the Green Day show at the Times Union Center.
Maccarone played Armstrong’s guitar for a full song and was told by Armstrong she was the best guitarist they had ever pulled up on stage.
Maccarone ended the performance with diving into the cheering crowd.
