Arrest made in deli fire on North Clinton Avenue
The El Gab Halal Market and Deli on North Clinton Avenue is closed as employees continue to mop up all the water from a fire earlier today.
A sprinkler system helped keep the flames under control, but there was a lot of smoke and some of it got into a restaurant and furniture store nearby.
The health department will have to inspect the food before the market is able to reopen.
Late this afternoon, Rochester Fire Investigators arrested 24-year-old Mohamed Ali of Rochester with second-degree arson for intentionally setting the fire.
