Jazz great Marsalis brings act to Eastman Theatre

Branford MarsalisOne of jazz music's most well-known musicians played at the Eastman Theater Sunday night.

Saxophonist Branford Marsalis and his quartet gave a benefit concert for Lifetime Assistance, a local non-profit organization that supports adults with disabilities.
Marsalis was also honored with an inspiration award from the organization on account of his music over the years.

A three-time Grammy award winner, Marsalis hails from a well-respected musical family, which includes father Ellis and brother Wynton.

You might also recognize Marsalis as the former bandleader on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
